• Pattern: Examination of transgenic animals carrying a transcriptional fusion of ppn-1::GFP showed obvious expression in the DTC. Expression of ppn-1::GFP was first observed in developingembryos, localized to the primordial gonad. Embryos expressing ppn-1::GFP shows expression in the DTC precursor cells Z1 and Z4.
