• Pattern: A fosmid-based cca-1::GFP reporter transgene that contains 22 kb of regulatory sequence 5' to cca-1 coding sequences showed expression in neurons of the egg-laying system. Both the cholinergic VC4 and VC5 neurons and the serotonergic HSNs strongly expressed cca-1::GFP. cca-1::GFP expression was also observed in many neurons in the head, tail, and in the ventral cord. We also observed cca-1::GFP expression in the non-neuronal distal tip cells of the somatic gonad.
