Phenotype : WBPhenotype:0000088 body muscle displaced

Description  The arrangement of the principal muscle cell type whose contractile activity generates body motion in the nematode differs from that observed in control animals. In C. elegans they consist of 95 unfused cells in the adult organized into four muscle quadrants. Their sarcomeres are obliquely striated and lie lengthwise along the body wall (Wormatlas).

Identifier Name Description
WBPhenotype:0000861 body wall muscle development variant Any variation in the progression of the principal muscle cell type whose contractile activity generates body motion in the nematode over time compared to control. In C. elegans they consist of 95 unfused cells in the adult organized into four muscle quadrants. Their sarcomeres are obliquely striated and lie lengthwise along the body wall (Wormatlas).
