Intermine data mining platform for C. elegans and related nematodes

Expression Pattern :

Pattern  hlh-25::GFP was expressed at all larval and adult stages, including dauer stage, in unidentified neurons of the head and tail, the anal depressor muscle, anterior and posterior intestinal cells, and the head and body wall muscles of transgenic animals. Expression was detected in the PDE sensory neuron pairs and rarely, transient expression was observed in migrating distal tip cells of L3/L4 stage animals. Primary Identifier  Expr12501

Definition Name Synonym Primary Identifier
somatic cell that situates at the tip of a gonad arm. distal tip cell DTC WBbt:0006865
Longitudinal bands of muscle cells surrounding animal body, with one band running in each quadrant of the body, regulated contraction and relaxation of these muscles cause locomotion. body wall musculature body muscle WBbt:0005813
neuron with its cell body situated in the head, excluding the pharynx. head neuron   WBbt:0006751
body wall muscle in the head, including first eight cells of each muscle quadrants which are innervated by nerve ring neurons. head muscle head body wall muscle WBbt:0006761
a single, H-shaped cell which lies just above the anus and connects the roof of the anal canal to the dorsal bodywall; its contractions act to increase the size of the anal opening by lifting the roof of the rectum and hence facilitate expulsion of intestinal contents. anal depressor muscle dilator muscle WBbt:0004292
neuron with its cell body situated in the tail, posterior to rectum. tail neuron   WBbt:0006759
Neuron, dopaminergic of postderid sensillum PDER lineage name: V5R.paaa WBbt:0004382
Neuron, dopaminergic of postderid sensillum PDEL lineage name: V5L.paaa WBbt:0004383
any of 20 large epithelial cells which form a tube and are mostly situated as bilaterally symmetric pairs around the tubular lumen. Each of these cell pairs forms an intestinal ring ( II-IX int rings). The most anterior intestinal ring (int ring I), however, is made of four cells. Intestinal cells contain large nuclei with large nucleoli and numerous autofluorescent granules in their cytoplasm. intestinal cell   WBbt:0005792
