• Pattern: The mex-3 3'UTR reporter is unique in that it showed strong GFP expression in the oocytes, with expression peaking in the most mature oocytes. Little expression was observed in the distal germline or in the syncytial region. Expression was also observed in the anterior cells of early embryos, but not in the posterior.
