Expression Pattern :

Primary Identifier  Expr9196 Subcellular Localization  LST-4(d)::GFP reporter was primarily localized to the cytoplasm, with a portion enriched on cytoplasmic puncta. Importantly, in these transgenic animals, the GFP fusion proteins were found to be associated to phagosomes in both adult gonad and embryos. In wild-type embryos, rapid enrichment of LST-4(d)::GFP was observed on the surface of nascent phagosomes 2-4 min after phagosome formation. Later, the signal intensity of LST-4(d)::GFP on phagosomes gradually reduced. In addition to phagosomal surfaces, LST-4::GFP was also observed on the highly dynamic membrane tubules extended from phagosomes. Often particularly bright LST-4::GFP signals were observed on a few spots on phagosome surface, where the phagosomal tubules frequently emerged.
