| Subcellular Localization | LRR-1 was present throughout the germ line in both the mitotic and meiotic zones, where it localized to the nucleus, but it appeared to be excluded from the chromosomes as no co-staining with DAPI could be detected. In early embryos, LRR-1 was also enriched in the nucleus, but was excluded from chromatin during mitosis. The nuclear localization of LRR-1 was confirmed by analysis of a transgenic line expressing a functional GFP::LRR-1 fusion protein. |
