• Pattern: In wild-type germlines, the antisense, but not the sense, probe detected RNAs broadly distributed in the distal germline. To examine fbf-1 mRNA specifically, dissected fbf-2(q738) germlines were hybridized and found staining with the antisense probe throughout the distal arm. To examine fbf-2 mRNA specifically, dissected fbf-1(ok91) germlines were hybridized and found staining with the antisense probe that was most abundant in the distal end.
