Expression Pattern :

Pattern  Germ cells in the proximal end of the gonad are undergoing spermatogenesis and do not express the rme-2 yolk receptor mRNA. Germ cells located just distally, from the transition zone to the loop (bend in gonad) are undergoing oogenesis and express rme-2 mRNA.
