Expression Pattern :

Pattern  PKC3 is expressed throughout the lifespan of C. elegans. However, both the content and intracellular distribution of PKC3 vary with development. For example, total PKC3 content in L1 larvae is increased 7-fold relative to the minimal level observed in L3 animals. Embryos and L4 larvae are also 3- to 4-fold enriched in PKC3. Primary Identifier  Expr1449
Subcellular Localization  A very high proportion (75100%) of PKC3 partitions with the insoluble fraction of homogenates from embryos, L2L4 larvae, and young adult C. elegans. L1 larvae have the highest level of particulate PKC3 but also contain a similar amount of the kinase in cytosol. The highest level of soluble PKC3 is detected in L1 larvae.

A group of six equivalent cells forms a tightly constructed `valve` that links the posterior bulb of the pharynx to the anterior four cells of the intestine. These six cells comprise a small epithelial channel with a cuticular lining in continuity with the pharyngeal cuticle and link the lumen of the pharynx to the large lumen of the anterior intestine. pharyngeal-intestinal valve cardia WBbt:0005767
a single, H-shaped cell which lies just above the anus and connects the roof of the anal canal to the dorsal bodywall; its contractions act to increase the size of the anal opening by lifting the roof of the rectum and hence facilitate expulsion of intestinal contents. anal depressor muscle dilator muscle WBbt:0004292
a saddle-shaped muscle cell that encircles the intestinal-rectal valve anal sphincter muscle lineage name: ABprpppppap WBbt:0005798
Contractile cell that makes up muscle tissue. muscle cell   WBbt:0003675
cylindrical hypodermal syncytium in the head, including hyp1-hyp6 anterior hypodermis head hypodermis WBbt:0005373
any of 20 large epithelial cells which form a tube and are mostly situated as bilaterally symmetric pairs around the tubular lumen. Each of these cell pairs forms an intestinal ring ( II-IX int rings). The most anterior intestinal ring (int ring I), however, is made of four cells. Intestinal cells contain large nuclei with large nucleoli and numerous autofluorescent granules in their cytoplasm. intestinal cell   WBbt:0005792
