• Pattern: UBC-9 expression was detected in early embryos in utero. The fluorescence continued to be present in the pharynx and body-wall muscles during larval stages and became prominent in coelomocytes and the male tail in young adults. The fluorescence progressively intensified until death in hermaphrodites, although the expression pattern did not change.
