Phenotype Remark  Postembryonic sys-1(RNAi) resulted in animals with extra ventral sex myoblasts (SMs) derived from the M-lineage (in 45.8% of animals), as determined by hlh-8::GFP. Authors argue that the extra SMs are likely the result of M.vlpp and/or M.vrpp cells undergoing a posterior-to-anterior fate transformation to that of sister cells M.vlpa and/or M.vrpa.
