REC-8 chromosomal localization was disrupted: 95% of meiotic embryos had no detectable REC-8 staining. At the onset of anaphase I the bivalents in Ceglc-7alpha/beta(RNAi) embryos dissociated into as many as 24 DNA-staining structures.
