RNAi :

WormBase ID  WBRNAi00065156 Genotype  pha-4(zu225)
Phenotype Remark  Enhancement of pha-4(zu225) L1 lethality and RNAi in this background causes a pharynx unattached (pun) phenotype. Remark  pha-4(zu225) is a temperature sensitive allele and 24 C is a permissive temperature. The enhancement of pha-4 lethality was shown to have some specificity as no enhancement was seen in either the hsf-1(sy441), tbx-2(ut180) or lin-26(n156) backgrounds. In addiition this RNAi did not enhance the movement defect in the unc-54(r293ts) allele. Like pha-4(zu225), RNA derived from unc-54(r293) is subject to degradation by the nonsense-mediated decay pathway.
