RNAi :

WormBase ID  WBRNAi00086076 Phenotype Remark  Centrosome duplication fails prior to the second mitotic division in sas-4(RNAi) embryos. In addition authors show that centriolar SAS-4 levels determine centrosome size. In all sas-4((RNAi) embryos microtubule dynamics and spindle assembly were identical to wild-type during the first mitotic division. However as sas-4(RNAi) embryos entered their second division, each daughter cell assembled only a single centrosomal microtubule aster. These single asters increased normally in size as the cells entered mitosis, and monopolar spindles were formed.

Identifier Name Description
WBPhenotype:0001903 centrosome biogenesis variant Animals exhibit variations in the formation, maturation or disassembly of the centrosome (a subcellular body consisting of two centrioles embedded in a protein matrix). The centrosome serves as a microtubule organizing center as well as a regulator of cell-cycle progression.
