Phenotype Remark  dlg-1(RNAi) embryos do not form junctions of AJM-1 around the apex of cells even at the earliest developmental stages at which AJM-1::GFP can be detected. AJM-1::GFP is found in small punctate structures between cells rather than showing a continuous ring of localization at cell boundaries as in wild-type embryos. Authors also looked at ultrastructure of adherens junctions of hypodermal and intestinal cells via electron microscopy.
