Phenotype Remark  The misfolding and aggregation of alpha-syn::GFP is enhanced following RNAi targeting W08D2.5 in this sensitized background. Remark  The strain used overexpresses both alpha-Synuclein and TOR-2. Overexpression of alpha-syn (Punc-54::a-syn::GFP) results in misfolding and aggregation of alpha-syn in body wall muscle cells at the young adult stage. Co-overexpression of TOR-2 (Punc-54::tor-2), a protein with chaperone activity, attenuates the misfolding of the alpha-syn::GFP protein.
