• Phenotype Remark: gck-1(RNAi) animals exhibited multiple rows of small oocytes in the proximal gonad, unlike wild type animals. gck-1(RNAi) gonads stained with antibodies for activated MAP kinase (MAPK-YT) revealed a clear increase in pachytene MAP kinase activation, compared to controls. Western blot revealed MPK-1a to be the activated isoform of the MPK-1 protein.
