• Pattern: When C. elegans embryos were reacted with a polyclonal mouse antibody raised against DIC-1, the protein appeared as speckles in the cytoplasm throughout embryogenesis. It was present in germ cells and oocytes, and its particulate distribution in the cytoplasm was clearly observed. At the post-embryonic stage, DIC-1 was present in all somatic cells, although at a lower expression level than in germline cells.
