Expression Pattern :

Pattern  Without SV40 nuclear localization signal: Expression was constitutive at all stages of development. Some beta-gal was localized to the nucleus, the cytoplasm also stained extensively. With SV40 upstream from lacZ: Embryos from gastrulation onward stained intensely within 15-30 min of the start of incubation. Overnight incubation in staining solution was required to enable detection of somatic expression in postembryonic stages. One fifth of L1 larvae expressed the transgene in body muscle, hypodermis, pharyngeal tissue, and nervous tissue while expression in adult was limited to body muscle. Primary Identifier  Expr727
Remark  This information was extracted from published material (Archana Sharma-Oates, Andrew Mounsey and Ian A. Hope). Subcellular Localization  Some beta-gal was localized to the nucleus, the cytoplasm also stained extensively.
