Expression Pattern :

Pattern  GFP was shown to express in the excretory cells, coelomocytes, head neurons, hypodermal cells, and in the pharynx of C. elegans. This expression pattern was further confirmed by antibody staining using polyclonal antibodies against UCH/CeUBP130. Excretory cells were identified by the 'I-i' shape GFP expression in the head region). GFP was also shown to express in coelomocytes. Primary Identifier  Expr2819
Remark  Reporter gene fusion type not specified. cyk-3 is called uch-1 in cgc4933.

A free-floating spherical cell lying in the pseudocoelomic cavity of larvae and adult C. elegans which can endocytose many compounds, possibly for immune surveillance. There are six coelomocytes in adult hermaphrodites, and they display prominent cytoplasmic inclusions and vacuoles. coelomocyte   WBbt:0005751
