Expression Pattern :

Pattern  In L1 larval animal expressing the mnr-1::GFP reporter weak expression is seen in some unidentified neurons in the head and tail region as well as possibly some lateral hypodermal cells and the anterior pharyngeal bulb. At the L3 larval stage clear GFP expression was seen in the ventral, dorsal, and lateral hypodermal ridges. Some neuronal staining may persist at this stage. Primary Identifier  Expr11333
Subcellular Localization  The mCherry-tagged MNR-1 was distributed evenly within the hypodermal ridges in a punctate pattern that appeared to be independent of SAX-7 and DMA-1. Interestingly, the tagged protein also labeled vesicles within the coelomocytes, a set of scavenger cells that are known to take up and degrade secreted proteins from the extracellular space. Thus, the mCherry::MNR-1 fusion was extracellular and either diffusible under the experimental conditions or cleaved from the membrane.
