Expression Pattern :

Pattern  Dim GFP fluorescence is observed in the cell bodies of the intestine and anal depressor muscles. Fluorescence is observed in the neurons RID, ADE and SABD. In addition, two unidentified neurons were variably expressed in the head ganglion. Primary Identifier  Expr2760
Subcellular Localization  GFP-tagged receptors were juxtaposed to the preanal ganglion where AVL and DVB innervate the enteric muscles, suggesting that EXP-1 receptors are clustered at sites that may correspond to neuromuscular junctions.

Definition Name Synonym Primary Identifier
a single, H-shaped cell which lies just above the anus and connects the roof of the anal canal to the dorsal bodywall; its contractions act to increase the size of the anal opening by lifting the roof of the rectum and hence facilitate expulsion of intestinal contents. anal depressor muscle dilator muscle WBbt:0004292
intestinal muscle cell, attach to intestine and body wall anterior to anus intestinal muscle stomato-intestinal muscle WBbt:0005796
Neuron class of one ring motoneuron, projects along dorsal cord, innervates dorsal body muscle. RID lineage name: ABalappaapa WBbt:0003938
Anterior deirid, sensory neuron, dopaminergic ADEL lineage name: ABplapaaaapa WBbt:0004009
Anterior deirid, sensory neuron, dopaminergic ADER lineage name: ABprapaaaapa WBbt:0004007
Ring interneuron, anteriorly projecting process that runs sublaterally, synapses to anterior body muscles in L1 SABD lineage name: ABplppapaap WBbt:0004999
