• Pattern: EXC-1 was found at the apical surface of excretory canals, and surprisingly, unlike EXC-9, little EXC-1 protein was apparent in the cytoplasm. In addition to the excretory canal cell, EXC-1 was expressed at lower levels in the amphid sheath cells.
