Expression Pattern :

Pattern  Using immunofluorescence, we found that CEC-1 was nuclear and broadly expressed in the embryo, larval and adult animals. Although CEC-1 was suggested to be soma-specific (AGOSTONI et al. 1996), its transcript was detected in the oogenic germline by RNA-Seq (ORTIZ et al. 2014; BOECK et al. 2016). Consistent with these findings, while we do not observe CEC-1 in the distal germline, it is detected in proximal germ cells and oocytes, albeit at a lower level than somatic cells.
