Expression Pattern :

Pattern  lacZ staining was clearly observed only in hypodermal cells, called seam cells. These cells extend along the lateral sides of the worm bodies and form two seam syncytia in adults. On the other hand, the transgenic worms carrying pTO17-13 strongly expressed the protein in hypodermal cells localized in their vulvae and heads, together with the enhanced expression in seam cells.
