Expression Pattern :

Pattern  Indistinguishable expression patterns were observed using both methods. EFN-4 was first detected at about the 100-cell stage in a large number of ventral surface cells, identified as neural or epidermal precursors. During and after enclosure of the epidermis, EFN-4 was expressed in many neurons and not in epidermal cells. In later embryos, larvae and adults, EFN-4-GFP was expressed in several head neurons, pharyngeal cells and a small number of lateral and tail neurons, within which EFN-4 was localized throughout the neuronal cell body and in axonal processes. Primary Identifier  Expr2300
Subcellular Localization  EFN-4 was localized throughout the neuronal cell body and in axonal processes.

neuron with its cell body situated in the tail, posterior to rectum. tail neuron   WBbt:0006759
  pharyngeal cell   WBbt:0005460
The left and right lateral ganglia lie beside the nerve ring in the head. They each contain about (30) neuron cell bodies and send their neuronal processes into the ring at its posterior margin either laterally or ventrally via the amphid commissures and ventral ganglion, but form no local neuropil separate from the nerve ring. The lateral ganglia are in close contact with the lateral hypodermal cords. lateral ganglion lateral ganglia WBbt:0005105
