• Pattern: Expression of lin-44 is high throughout the entire life span of the worm and increases during aging. As in development, lin-44 expression was observed only in the posterior of the animal. Expression of lin-44 is present in tail hypodermis, hyp8, hyp9, hyp10, and hyp11 cells. Expression was observed throughout the worm's life span, from day 2 (young) to day 12 (old) of adulthood.
