• Pattern: Fusion protein could be detected in the nuclei of most, if not all, cells of adult animals. Strong expression was observed in all embryonic nuclei starting at the 20-24 cell stage and persisted through to adulthood. In addition, hpl-2::gfp expression could be weakly detected in germ cells, developing oocytes and embryos starting at the 2-cell stage, before the onset of zygotic transcription.
