Remark  Expression of a HIF-1:green fluorescent protein fusion protein is increased by hypoxia, and subsequently reduced upon reoxygenation. HIF-1:GFP expression is increased by hypoxia treatment, and the protein is rapidly degraded upon reoxygenation. hif-1 mRNA is not substantially increased by hypoxia treatment
