• Pattern: The 2.2 kb transcript is 5 times more abundant in in XO than XX mixed-stage embryos and ten times more abundant in pre-comma stage XO embryos, when xol-1 expression reaches its peak. Throughout larval development, xol-1 transcript are present at low levels in XO animals, but are undetectable in XX larvae and adults of both sexes.
