• Pattern: The transgene oxEx81 expresses GFP from the acr-5 promoter as a chimeric protein with the myristoylation sequence from GAP-43 (Knobel et al. 2001). In these transgenic worms, GFP is predicted to be localized to membranes in a subset of neuron profiles. After staining with anti-GFP antibodies, gold particles accumulate along the plasma membrane in a subset of neurons in the nerve ring.
