Pattern  This expression pattern has two components. For both components expression is excluded from the nucleus and restricted to the cell cytoplasm. In embryos extensive (predominantly anterior) expression is seen from pre-comma stages until after elongation. The second component is seen in young larvae (L1 and L2) in the hypodermal seam cells.
