• Pattern: ALG-1 and ALG-2 were expressed in most somatic cells but exhibited some tissue specificity in the head region. Pharyngeal cells predominantly expressed GFP::ALG-1, while certain head neurons adjacent to the pharynx were enriched for RFP::ALG-2. Consistent with the Western blot results, there was a global decline in expression of GFP:: ALG-1 but not RFP::ALG-2 as the animals aged.
