RNAi :

WormBase ID  WBRNAi00091343 Phenotype Remark  lgg-1/lgg-2 RNAi prevents the autophagic degradation of sperm-derived "membranous organelles" (MOs) and mitochondria and thus results in persistence of these organelles in embryos as late as the 120-cell stage. The presence of paternal, sperm-derived mitochondria was confirmed by embryo PCR on mitochondrial DNA specific to the sperm.
Remark  (Figure 3, Text) lgg-1/lgg-2 RNAi. Exact sequence used for RNAi not stated by authors, spliced coding region sequence of gene used for curation.

Identifier Name Description
WBPhenotype:0000117 L1 lethal Animals die at the L1 stage of the life cycle.
WBPhenotype:0001020 embryonic lethal late emb Animals die during the final stages of embryogenesis. In C. elegans, this lethality refers to death during the last (3-fold) stage of embryogenesis, which normally occurs 620-800 min after the first cleavage at 20C, the stage after elongation.
WBPhenotype:0000736 autophagy variant Animals exhibit variations in the process by which their cells digest parts of their own cytoplasm, compared to control.
