WormBase ID  WBRNAi00108412 Phenotype Remark  Levels of hsp-6::gfp were analyzed in mecr-1(RNAi) animals. At 7 days, mecr- 1(RNAi) and control worms exhibited similar levels of hsp-6::gfp. However at 14 and 21 days, GFP expression was almost two-fold higher in mecr-1(RNAi) worms relative to controls, indicating that mitochondrial function was abnormal.
Remark  A hsp-6::gfp mitochondrial heat shock protein reporter was used in this experiment. Under mitochondrial stress conditions, hsp-6 induces green fluorescent protein (GFP) expression.
