RNAi :

WormBase ID  WBRNAi00114487 Phenotype Remark  RNAi of Alkbh1 (Y51H7C.5 (alkb-1)) triggers the mitochondrial unfolded protein response (UPRmt) in C. elegans, but not the unfolded protein response in the endoplasmic reticulum. RNAi of Alkbh1 (Y51H7C.5 (alkb-1)) leads to activation of the Phsp-6GFP reporter but not of the Phsp-4GFP reporter.
Remark  In SJ4100 the GFP sequence is under the control of the promoter of the mitochondrial chaperone hsp-6 is a UPRmt reporter strain. Exact sequence used for RNAi not stated by authors, spliced coding region sequence of gene used for curation (Y51H7C.5.1).

Identifier Name Description
WBPhenotype:0001719 unfolded protein response variant Animals exhibit variations in any of the series of molecular signals generated as a consequence of the presence of unfolded proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and or the mitochondria, compared to control. One such response is the increase in expression of chaperones.
