RNAi :

WormBase ID  WBRNAi00099039 Genotype  elt-2::GFP
Phenotype Remark  frk-1 RNAi arrested embryos contain extra gut nuclei. Furthermore, laser ablation of the E cell in early (six- to seven-cell stage) embryos eliminated all differentiated gut nuclei in both wild-type (9/9) and frk-1(RNAi).These results imply that the endoderm undergoes extra cell division in embryos lacking FRK-1, hence extra cell divisions are the cause of the extra cells, not incorrect specification. Remark  Exact sequence used for RNAi not stated by authors, spliced coding region sequence of gene used for curation. Method of delivery not explicit, authors say injection or soaking.

Identifier Name Description
WBPhenotype:0001636 excess intestinal cells Animals contain an excess number of intestinal cells compared to control. In C. elegans, intestinal cells are derived from E-blastomere. The overproduction of intestinal tissues is a result of other blastomeres adopting an E-like fate or excess cell proliferation in the E lineage.
