| Pattern | SAX-3::GFP is expressed in early neuroblasts during gastrulation cleft closure and in the underlying neurons during ventral enclosure, similar to VAB-1 and EFN-1. However, unlike VAB-1 or EFN-1, SAX-3::GFP was also observed in epidermal cells . To examine SAX-3 and VAB-1 co-localization, anti-VAB-1 antibodies and anti-GFP antibodies were used on transgenic embryos expressing VAB-1 (pCZ47) and the SAX-3::GFP construct.
