Expression Pattern :

Pattern  seu-1A::GFP was expressed in a dynamic pattern throughout development and was restricted to nuclei. GFP was detected in all nuclei of the early embryo until the comma stage, after which it was restricted mainly to the muscle cells of the body wall and pharynx of the embryo. Muscle expression persisted until late larval stages. In larval and adult animals, strong expression was also observed in the intestinal cells, lateral hypodermal (seam) cells, Pn.p ventral hypodermal cells, and spermatheca. Faint and sporadic expression was observed in the ventral nerve cord (L4 and adult) and DTCs (late L3). Expression within the DTCs was observed during the ventral-to-dorsal second and longitudinal third migration phases and was never observed during the first migration phase. Primary Identifier  Expr7801
Remark  Picture: Fig. 4. Unambiguous expression in the touch neurons was not observed. However, because seu-1 is also expressed from an operon, it remains possible that there is expression in addition to what was observed with the reporter gene. Subcellular Localization  Expression was restricted to nuclei.

an accordion-like tube that contains sperm and is the site of oocyte fertilization. spermatheca   WBbt:0005319
A chain of very large cuboidal cells forming a wide central lumen in which food arrives from the posterior pharynx, is digested, and from which waste products proceed to the rectum. Intestinal rings form in groups of two and four cells surrounding the common lumen; thus the epithelium is only one cell deep at any point, with neighboring cells firmly secured to their neighbors by apical adherens junctions. These cells have very large nuclei and many large vacuoles, yolk granules, and other inclusions; the latter increase in number and electron density as the animal ages. intestine gut WBbt:0005772
a large process bundle that runs along the vental mid-line extending from the ventral region of the nerve ring. ventral nerve cord ventral cord WBbt:0005829
Longitudinal bands of muscle cells surrounding animal body, with one band running in each quadrant of the body, regulated contraction and relaxation of these muscles cause locomotion. body wall musculature body muscle WBbt:0005813
