Expression Pattern :

Pattern  Transgenic animals expressing DYC-1GFP showed consistent GFP expression in the head muscles, the body wall muscles, and the vulva muscles. Weaker expression in the intestinal muscles was also detected in some animals. No GFP expression was observed in the pharyngeal muscles nor in non-muscle cells. Primary Identifier  Expr953
Remark  Reporter gene fusion type not specified.

Longitudinal bands of muscle cells surrounding animal body, with one band running in each quadrant of the body, regulated contraction and relaxation of these muscles cause locomotion. body wall musculature body muscle WBbt:0005813
muscle associated with hermaphrodite vulva. vulval muscle   WBbt:0005821
anterior-most body region containing the pharynx. head   WBbt:0005739
any of 20 large epithelial cells which form a tube and are mostly situated as bilaterally symmetric pairs around the tubular lumen. Each of these cell pairs forms an intestinal ring ( II-IX int rings). The most anterior intestinal ring (int ring I), however, is made of four cells. Intestinal cells contain large nuclei with large nucleoli and numerous autofluorescent granules in their cytoplasm. intestinal cell   WBbt:0005792
