| Pattern | The osm-8 promoter is only expressed at detectable levels in the hypodermis. GFP expression was observed in the hypodermal syncitium and was excluded from the hypodermal seam cells. While the osm-8 promoter was active in larval stages up to and including the L4, expression in adults was strongly attenuated, suggesting that osm-8 mRNA expression might be developmentally regulated.
