• Pattern: pud-1 is expressed strongly and uniformly in the intestine, and less strongly in the hypodermis. Expression starts before the comma stage in many cells, although the gut cells have the strongest signal.

• Subcellular Localization: At the subcellular level, pud-1 was found distributed diffusely in the cytoplasm and the nucleoplasm, and largely excluded from the nucleolus except for one or more nucleolar puncta. The GFP fusion protein was seen in fibrous organelles, the hypodermal hemidesmosome structures that fasten muscles to the cuticle.
