• Pattern: We found that the two isoforms IFB-1A and IFB-1B, fused to GFP and directed by their own promoters, were similarly expressed in canals, albeit differentially in other tissues. Both IFB-1A and IFB-1B were absent at lumen initiation and first appeared in laterally extending canals, where they persisted through anterior-posterior canal extension and thereafter. Double-labeling canals with cytoplasmic mCherry localized both GFP-labeled isoforms to the lumen.
