• Pattern: POML-1 was expressed in only a few neurons. In addition to the six touch receptor neurons (Topalidou and Chalfie, 2011), POML-1 was found in the IL1, AIM, ALN, and BDU neurons. In touch receptor neurons, POML-1 localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum. Rescuing and tagged translational fusions of POML-1 are primarily expressed in the TRN cell body, with weak diffuse expression and puncta in the proximal TRN neurite. Consistent with the ER localization of MEC-6, the protein was absent from the TRN surface.
