• Pattern: SPC-1::GFP outlined all 7 vulval rings and was present near apical (luminal) membranes and also at sites of cell-cell contact (basolateral membranes). In contrast, UNC-70::GFP was present only at basolateral membranes, while SMA-1::GFP was present only at apical membranes. We showed previously that the spectrin-related protein VAB-10a/spectraplakin also localizes apically in the vulva (Cohen et al. 2020)
