Regulated By Treatment Description Algorithm Primary Identifier
Proteins secreted by B.malayi at L3 larva stage, according to LC-MS-MS. N.A. WBPaper00050454:Secretome_protein
Transcripts that showed significantly increased expression at L3 day 6 animals comparing to L3 Day 9 worms. Differential gene expression analysis was performed using both DESeq and EdgeR, and the overlapping genes with FDR<0.01 were retained. WBPaper00059852:B.malayi_L3Day6_upregulated_vs_L3Day9
Transcripts that showed significantly increased expression at L3 day 6 animals comparing to L4 worms. Differential gene expression analysis was performed using both DESeq and EdgeR, and the overlapping genes with FDR<0.01 were retained. WBPaper00059852:B.malayi_L3Day6_upregulated_vs_L4

Transcripts that showed significantly decreased expression at infective lava stage 3 (iL3) (from mosquitoes), comparing to L3 Day 9 worms. Differential gene expression analysis was performed using both DESeq and EdgeR, and the overlapping genes with FDR<0.01 were retained. WBPaper00059852:B.malayi_iL3_stage_downregulated_vs_L3Day9

2 Expression Patterns

Remark Reporter Gene Primary Identifier Pattern Subcellular Localization
Expr11949 B. malayi phy-1 is expressed in L1 (microfilaria), at all time points examined throughout L3 and L4 development, and in both adult sexes.
Expr11519 Bma-phy-2 is expressed only in the first larval stage (microfilaria) and the early and mid L3 stages. The lower abundance of Bma-phy-2 in microfilaria may reflect a more restricted cell/tissue expression pattern. Bma-phy-2 was barely detectable in the late fourth stage larvae (L4) and adult stages.

Remark Definition Other Name Public Name Primary Identifier
The fourth stage larva. Should be conditioned by days post infection; as moulting is not synchronous, some samples are defined as L3/L4, indicating a mix of individuals as late L3, moulting, and early L4. Brugia L4 WBls:0000082

1 Preceded By

Remark Definition Other Name Public Name Primary Identifier
The second stage larva. Derived from flight muscles of vector host; some development in vitro, with L1 to L2 moulting, has been demonstrated but rarely; these are often staged by hours or days post blood meal. Brugia L2 WBls:0000080

2 Sub Stages

Remark Definition Other Name Public Name Primary Identifier
Also known as infective L3, or iL3; i.e. isolated from the vector salivary glands; these samples may-should be conditioned by age, which is usually counted in days from the blood meal. Brugia L3i WBls:0000098
Derived from the host after reintroduction by vector feeding or manual inoculation; these piL3 samples are often-should be conditioned by age (hours or days post-infection). Brugia post-infection L3 WBls:0000099
