Remark Reporter Gene Primary Identifier Pattern Subcellular Localization
Reporter gene fusion type not specified. This information was extracted from published material (Archana Sharma-Oates, Andrew Mounsey and Ian A. Hope).   Expr643 wrt-3 is expressed from 3-fold stage onwards in the trinucleate pharyngeal gland cell g1. Variable expression is observed in seam cells and hypodermis, occasionally in single muscle cells and distal tip cells of older larvae and adults.
Expr11043 F48A11.1 was expressed specifically in the period immediately preceding each moult. Expression appeared limited to the pharynx and specifically to the glandular cells g1 and g2 (5 nuclei) in the terminal bulb, the three m4 myo-epithelial cells (6 nuclei) in the metacorpus and the three m3 myo-epithelial cells (6 nuclei) in the pro- corpus. No GFP was detected elsewhere in transgenic nematodes despite careful examination of the reproductive tissues and intestine.
Refer to Birchall,Fishpool & Albertson (1995) life_stage summary : postembryonic   Expr7 Post-embryonic expression. L2-L4-- punctate signal in 6 cells in the body (coelomocytes), 2 ventral at level of Int3, 2 ventral anterior to developing gonad, 2 left and right subdorsal posterior to gonad. Weaker signal in muscle. Head-- 6 cells closely apposed to pharynx at the level of the nerve ring, 2 subdorsal, 4 ventral-subventral; single cell dorsal to second bulb of the pharynx. Pharynx-- g1 gland cell.
Other strain-- UL882   Expr427 Expression is seen in a number of components. Firstly, in embryos expression is seen from the ~20 cell stage until after elongation in most cells (excluding the E-cell lineage). Secondly, in larvae and adults expression is seen in the pharyngeal g1 gland cell. Finally, in larvae and adults two neuronal cell bodies located anteriorly to the terminal bulb show expression. This gene has similarity to human myelin transcription factor 1.
In only 1 out of 4 strains did we observe expression.   Expr444 Expression is seen in late larvae and adult stages in two components. In the pharynx the g1 gland cell shows expression, and within the body of the worm the spermathecal-uterine junction and uterine wall show expression.
GFP and antibody show the same expression pattern.   Expr1233 kel-1 protein became detectable at the 1.5-fold embryo, appearing as a dotted line at the midline of the head region. At the 2-fold embryo, and 3-fold embryo, observed more evidently as a central line along the lumen of the pharynx between posterior end of the buccal cavity and the terminal bulb. At embryonic stages up to the pretzel, but not larval stages, anti-KEL-1 stained a structure appearing to be perpendicular to the pharynx. With laser scanning confocal microscope, this structure appeared to be a ring surrounding the posterior metacorpus. Expression was observed along the pharyngeal lumen throughout the postembryonic development. Cells strongly express KEL-1 were the pharyngeal g1 gland cells.
Other strain-- UL706   Expr179 From early larval stages until adults, weak expression is seen in the g1 gland cell of the pharynx.
