Expression Pattern :

Pattern  This reporter (pSC15) was expressed in several tissues. In adults, this reporter was expressed highly in the intestine and in certain sensory neurons in the head and at lower levels in body-wall muscles and socket cells. During the last larval stage, GFP was visible in the vulva, in cells in the ventral nerve cord, and in cells in the tail. Larval stage animals expressed pSC15 at high levels in the hypodermis. Hypoxia treatment increased the levels of reporter gene expression. Primary Identifier  Expr8271
Remark  No detailed description on expression pattern in embryo. Picture: Figure 4C, D, E.

neuron with cell body associated with the ventral nerve cord. ventral cord neuron ventral cord motoneuron WBbt:0005300
female genital. vulva   WBbt:0006748
A chain of very large cuboidal cells forming a wide central lumen in which food arrives from the posterior pharynx, is digested, and from which waste products proceed to the rectum. Intestinal rings form in groups of two and four cells surrounding the common lumen; thus the epithelium is only one cell deep at any point, with neighboring cells firmly secured to their neighbors by apical adherens junctions. These cells have very large nuclei and many large vacuoles, yolk granules, and other inclusions; the latter increase in number and electron density as the animal ages. intestine gut WBbt:0005772
An interfacial epithelial cell which forms a distal cap on a sheath cell to bind the sheath of a sensillum to the neighboring hypodermis, via adherens junctions. There is often a narrow opening through the socket from the exterior into the sheath channel, allowing ciliated dendrites to be exposed to the external environment. The socket cell functions similarly to a glial cell. socket cell   WBbt:0005750
Longitudinal bands of muscle cells surrounding animal body, with one band running in each quadrant of the body, regulated contraction and relaxation of these muscles cause locomotion. body wall musculature body muscle WBbt:0005813

neuron with its cell body situated in the head, excluding the pharynx. head neuron   WBbt:0006751
