Expression Pattern :

Pattern  The expression of ubc-25::gfp begins in gastrulation stage embryos shortly before morphogenesis starts. UBC-25::GFP fluorescence could be identified in precursor cells of neurons and muscle cells, but also in other cell types, like hypodermal precursor cells. After hatching of the L1 larva and in all subsequent life stages, ubc-25::gfp is expressed strongest in the pharyngeal muscle and in the anal muscle cells. In L4 stage animals and adolescent hermaphrodites ubc-25::gfp is also expressed in the vulval muscles. Furthermore, UBC-25::GFP fluorescence was identified in all four nerve chords and in neurons. A weaker level of UBC-25::GFP is detected in all body wall muscles. No post-embryonic ubc-25::gfp expression was observed in any non-neuromuscular tissue or cell type. Primary Identifier  Expr2563
Subcellular Localization  UBC-25::GFP is located in the cytosol of the corresponding cells and is typically slightly enriched in the nuclei.

a single, H-shaped cell which lies just above the anus and connects the roof of the anal canal to the dorsal bodywall; its contractions act to increase the size of the anal opening by lifting the roof of the rectum and hence facilitate expulsion of intestinal contents. anal depressor muscle dilator muscle WBbt:0004292
a bundle of nerve processes that runs along the dorsal mid-line of the animal. dorsal nerve cord dorsal cord WBbt:0006750
nerve cord positioned at the lateral flanks of the animal, consists of processes of the neuron classes BDU, CAN, PVD and ALA. lateral nerve cord   WBbt:0006769
